La Concorde Band

The band was started by an idea of a visiting volunteer, Sydney, who wanted to enrich the hearts and minds of the children at La Concorde. After meeting the music teacher, Decembre, she realized his passion and talent. “We didn’t grow up in the same country or even speak the same language, yet we were able to communicate through music. His passion and willingness to share his love of music with the kids is what inspired me.” She knew that with access to proper instruments, sheet music, and individual lessons, the children at La Concorde would learn more than just how to play– their lives would be forever changed and enriched through the beauty of music.

Back-to-School Drive

For all students at La Concorde having pencils, paper, books and chalk makes the opportunity to learn even greater. Also for many students obtaining a uniform and school shoes can be difficult. LTR has a drive to assist students with these needs. Education is the future.

Food Alliance with
Feed My Starving Children

During this most difficult time in Haiti LTR has partnered with organizations to provide food for as many of the students as possible. We have when possible an after school meal for the students prior to going home. We hope to continue this partnership.
